Director Amy Sheff (left) works with Bullis School junior Jaime Bernstein-Ansaldi, 16, who plays the lead role, Dolly, in the school’s production of ‘‘Hello, Dolly!” during a dress rehearsal on Sunday.

The Bullis School will present the musical comedy, ‘‘Hello, Dolly!” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Blair Family Center for the Arts, 10601 Falls Road, Potomac.

The musical comedy is produced and performed by 58 students.

‘‘Our students do all the technical work and build the set,” said Patricia Mayo, communications and events coordinator at the Bullis School.

The story is laced with happy songs and loving scenes. The 1969 classic musical takes the audience back in time to 1890’s New York City. ‘‘The Matchmaker” Dolly Levi takes a trip to Yonkers, N.Y., to see the ‘‘well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire,” Horace Vandergelder. From there, comedy and romance ensues.

Tickets are $5 at the door.
