Primary election set for Tuesday

Polls open7 a.m.– 8 p.m.

Absentee ballots available through Monday

The Frederick County Elections Office is open for absentee voting from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and on Election Day from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Registered Democrats and Republicans may vote.

Voters will cast ballots for President of the United States, U.S. Representative in the 6th Congressional District, delegates to the Democratic and Republican conventions and Board of Education.

No more than two female delegates and no more than three male delegates may be chosen for the Democratic National Convention and no more than three male or female delegates for the Republican National Convention.

Voters may choose no more than three Board of Education candidates. Top six vote-getters in that race proceed to the general election.

The Frederick County Board of Elections is located in Winchester Hall, Frederick.
