West Laurel and our general area suffered a great loss last week with the unexpected passing of Montgomery County Councilwoman Marilyn Praisner, who represented the eastern portion of Montgomery County. She was a resident of Calverton and former member of the Montgomery County Board of Education. She was a great friend to the people of West Laurel and worked closely with the West Laurel Civic Association on many issues. Our hearts go out to her family and friends during this difficult time.
