The Frederick County Humane Society’s Emergency Pet Food Bank has been generously replenished with canned and dry dog and cat food, thanks to Meadows Frozen Custard. Meadows franchise owner John DeVore collected the donations during the month of December at his Whittier Shopping Plaza location, according to a press release.

‘‘The Whittier community has a huge population of dog owners, and many bring their dogs here to the store,” said DeVore in the release. ‘‘It seemed like a perfect combination to be a collection center for the Humane Society food drive”.

Meadows Frozen Custard will continue to collect food during the winter months, and is accepting cash donations for the Humane Society as well. The store is located at 2401 Whittier Drive in the Whittier Shopping Plaza. For more information, call 301-662-1115.
