The Frederick County Board of Elections is looking for Republican residents to serve as election judges at polling places during Tuesday’s primary election.

Judges must be a registered voter in Maryland, though the board does accept 17-year-olds. A judge must be able to speak, read and write English, and cannot hold or be a candidate for public office. Hours of work are from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Judges must also be willing to work anywhere in the county. Training will be provided. Judges will be paid a minimum of $125, and an additional $25 to attend training on Saturday.

To apply, call the Board of Elections at 301-600-1006.
