Montgomery

Adventist HealthCare of Rockville named Robin J. Thomashauer of Bethesda a trustee. Thomashauer is executive director of the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare. She also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Mid-Atlantic States Region, Rockford (Ill.) Memorial Hospital and Mercy Hospital in Chicago.

Linowes and Blocher LLP of Bethesda named Richard M. Zeidman managing partner, succeeding Andrew Goldstein, who stays at the firm. Zeidman joined the firm 25 years ago.

Goodman & Co. of Rockville named Katie L. Verzi a business specialist and Maria Grinkrug supervisor. Also, Greta Tosi-Miller was promoted to partner-in-charge. Previously, Tosi-Miller worked for Minter, Morrison & Grant; Mowery & Co.; Peat, Marwick, Mitchell; and Crutchley, Marginot & Tosi.

Triumfant Inc. of Rockville named to its advisory board retired Navy Rear Adm. Guy Curtis; Bob Gourley, former chief technology officer with the Defense Intelligence Agency; and Alan Wade, former chief information officer with the Central Intelligence Agency.

Xceleron Ltd. of Gaithersburg named Bern Galat vice president of business development. Previously, Galat worked for Boston Healthcare Associates, Parexel International and Carestat Inc., and was vice president of sales, marketing and clinical applications for Ultracision Inc.

Congressional Bank of Potomac named Eartha Morris executive vice president and COO, and Cal Simmons, a founding investor, a director. Simmons is co-founder and manager of the Dinner Club, eMedia Club and Washington Dinner Club, and former owner of Cal Simmons Travel.

Gary Altman, founder of Altman & Associates of Rockville, was named a Top 100 Lawyer by Worth Magazine.

Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville named the following to its governance board: Brian Johnson, president of Montgomery College; Robert Eisdorfer, a gastroenterologist and immediate past president of Shady Grove’s medical and affiliate staff; Jeanne Pettit, president of the hospital’s foundation board and owner of Pettit Homes LLC; Priscilla Callahan-Lyon, an internist and vice president of the hospital’s medical and affiliate staff; and Mark Peterson, an orthopedist at the hospital.

Prince George’s

The Bozzuto Group of Greenbelt named Thomas K. Wagenhauser II chief accounting officer. Previously, Wagenhauser was vice president and corporate controller of OAO Technology Solutions Inc. He also worked for Ernst & Young, Essroc Corp. and Aggregate Industries.

State

The Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission in Owings Mills promoted the following Maryland Public Television employees: Steven Schupak, from vice president to senior vice president, content enterprises; Marty Jacobs, from managing director⁄CFO, to vice president⁄CFO; and Gladys Kaplan, from managing director to vice president, facilities and human resources.

Landmark Insurance & Financial Group of Baltimore named Alfred W. Redmer Jr. president and partner. Previously, Redmer was Maryland insurance commissioner, House minority leader and CEO of Coventry Health Care of Delaware.

The Monte Jade Science & Technology Association of Greater Washington, D.C., elected Elaine Chang, who heads her own law firm, chairwoman for a three-year term. Also, Mike Yuen of Aronson and Co. was re-elected to the board. New board members are Duke Chung, CEO and co-founder of Parature; Jerry Chen , vice president of NeuStar; Brandon Lau, senior credit analyst with United Bank; and Samuel Tinsing Mok, managing member of Condor International Advisors LLC.

The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties’ Maryland chapter elected the following officers: president, Cole Schnorf of Manekin LLC; president-elect, Robert Bavar of Bavar Properties Group; vice president, Will McCullough of Chesapeake Real Estate Group LLC; and secretary-treasurer, Christopher Nevin of Provident Bank. Catherine Ward of Corporate Office Properties Trust is immediate past president.

Foundation Coal Holdings Inc. of Linthicum Heights named Gary M. Buchan vice president, business process support. Previously, Buchan was director, process improvement, at Peabody Energy. Earlier he worked for Foundation Coal and its predecessor companies for 20 years.

Constellation Energy of Baltimore named Brenda Boultwood senior vice president and chief risk officer. Previously, Boultwood was global head of strategy, alternative investment services, for J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., held risk management positions with Bank One Corp., and also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Chemical Bank Corp.

Northrop Grumman Corp. promoted Joseph J. Ensor to vice president and general manager of its new Space & Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance Systems Division in Baltimore. Previously, Ensor, who the company in 1979, was vice president of Space Sensors and Exploitation Systems.

Bruce Ingerman, a partner at Baltimore personal injury law firm Ingerman & Horwitz, was selected to Maryland Super Lawyers 2008.

The Howard County Economic Development Authority named Larry O. Collins technology manager and executive director of the new Howard Technology Council. Previously, Collins was U.S. sales manager at L-Soft International Inc.
