Sportsplex Gymnastics performs well at meet

The Sportsplex Gymnastics Levels 5 and 6 teams finished in first place at the Evergreen Invitational at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex. More than 20 gymnastics clubs from across the state participated in the competition.
The Level 5 team was led by Madalyn Oliver's victories in the vault, bars and all-around in the age 7 group. Raquel Chase won first place in the beam, third place on the floor and won the all-around in the age 8 group. Jamsine Hall won the beam, all-around and second on the floor in the age 9 group. Dominque Baker won first on the floor, vault, second place on the beam and bars, and won the all-around in the age 11 group. Alysha Belle took first in the beam, second in the vault and third in the all-around.
The Level 6 team was led by Morganne Oliver's victories in the beam, bars, floor, vault and all-around in the 8-9 age group. Lena Morant placed second in the vault, third in bars and second in all-around. Ann Louis Charles took second place in the floor, third in the vault, beam, bars and all-around in the age 11 group. Simone Murphy won the floor, vault, bars, the all-around and second in the beam.
