The following is a summary of incidents in eastern Montgomery County to which Montgomery County Police responded. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

Silver Spring district

Armed robberies

*Dec. 21: A man with a knife committed an armed robbery 2:30 a.m. at University Boulevard and September Lane. No information was provided. The robber was black; no further description was provided.

*Dec. 26: Two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed a victim 9 p.m. in the 11200 block of Lockwood Drive. No further information was provided. The robbers were black and were seen in a white mini-van.

Armed carjacking

*Dec. 24: A man armed with a baseball bat took a vehicle from a victim 4:30 a.m. at Carroll Avenue and University Boulevard. Police did not provide any information about the vehicle or the victim. The carjacker was Hispanic; no further description was provided.

Strong-arm robberies

*Dec. 26: Two men committed a strong-arm robbery against a victim 3:10 a.m. in the 8400 block of Colesville Road. Police provided no further details. The men were black; no further description was provided.

*Dec. 24: A pizza deliveryman was robbed by five males about 2:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Thayer Avenue. The robbers were black; no further description was provided.

*December Drive, 1500 block, 9:17 a.m. Police have a suspect.

*Shanandale Drive, 2800 block, between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

*Carters Grove Court, between 6 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Dec. 21.

*Stewart Lane, 11400 block, between 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

*Hershfield Court, 2600 block, between 8 a.m. and 8:41 a.m.

Aggravated assault

*Dec. 21: Police said a victim was shot with a BB gun but not seriously injured 4:30 p.m. at a playground at 1940 Rosemary Hills Drive. Police have identified a suspect. No further details were provided.

*Police reported three aggravated assaults from the H1 beat, which includes east Silver Spring including the Piney Branch Road and Carroll Avenue area. They provided no details on the assaults, including the locations, but the assaults involved knives.

Commercial burglaries

*Fourth-floor offices of 8737 Colesville Road, between Dec. 19 and Dec. 20.

Residential burglaries

*First Avenue, 8700 block, between Dec. 16 and Dec. 22.

*Piney Branch Road, 9000 block, 2:10 p.m. Dec. 19. Police are seeking a black male, a black female and two white males in a white van.

*Piney Branch Road, 9000 block, between 2:10 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 19.

*Piney Branch Road, 9000 block, between 9:30 a.m. and 10:40 p.m. Dec. 19.

*Stateside Drive, unit block, between 7:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 24.

*Lansdale Court, 3800 block, 4:20 p.m. Dec. 19. Police are looking for two black males, between 17 and 20 years old.

*Bryant Park Circle, 3900 block, between 8 a.m. and 11:50 p.m. Dec. 20.

*McKnew Road, 14900 block, between 10:20 a.m. and noon Dec. 21. Police say they have two male suspects.

*Nees Lane, 20 block, between 4:30 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. Dec. 26.

Vehicle thefts

*Fifteen vehicles were reported stolen from the Silver Spring district during the period. Four vehicles each were taken within the H2 beat, which includes areas south of New Hampshire Avenue and east of Colesville Road, and the I1 beat, which includes the Calverton⁄White Oak area.

Vehicle larcenies

*Police reported thefts from vehicles from county parking garages in downtown Silver Spring. No further details were provided.

Twenty-eight vehicle larcenies were reported in the district. Eight incidents each were reported within the G2 beat, which includes neighborhoods west of Colesville Road, and the I1 beat, which includes the Calverton⁄White Oak area.

Takoma Park

Armed robbery

*Dec. 28: A man armed with a gun took a wallet from a man 5:45 p.m. in the 1000 block of University Boulevard.

The victim was returning to his parked car when the robber approached, threatened him, demanded money and searched his pockets. He then fled in a blue four-door vehicle with tinted windows that was being driven by another man.

The robber and the driver were black, between 22 and 26 years old. The robber had black hair and a thin build. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt and black jeans. No further description was given for the driver.

Strong-arm robbery

*Jan. 1: A man took cash 6:44 p.m. from a store in the 1300 block of University Boulevard after passing a threatening note to a female employee. The note demanded money and the robber hinted he had a gun. No one was injured.

The robber was black, in his late 20s to early 30s, and wore a dark hooded jacket and blue jeans.

*Linden Avenue, 1100 block, between 8:15 p.m. Dec. 27 and 8:40 a.m. Dec. 28. Smashed window of 1999 Acura TL; airbags stolen.

*Davis Avenue, 900 block, between 10 p.m. Dec. 29 and 7:56 a.m. Dec. 31. Smashed window of 2005 Pontiac Trans Sport; property taken.

*Maple Avenue, 7700 block, between 8:30 pm Dec. 27 and 6:15 a.m. Dec. 31. Entered 1987 BMW through unlocked door; ignition damaged.

*Larch Avenue, 900 block, between 11 p.m. Dec. 27 and 3 p.m. Jan 2. Smashed window of 1998 Mazda Protégé; property taken.

Commercial burglary

*Laurel Avenue, 6900 block, between 5 p.m. Dec. 31 and 6 a.m. Jan. 2. Forced open rear door in basement; nothing reported taken.

Residential burglary

*Flower Avenue, 8400 block, between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 28. Unknown method of entry; property taken.

*Jackson Avenue, 7500 block, between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 2. Entered through unlocked window; property taken.

Arrests

*Dec. 31: A man was charged with drug possession about 6:10 p.m. in the 6700 block of Conway Avenue.

*Jan. 2: A man was charged with drug possession 9:50 p.m. in the 7800 block of Kennewick Avenue.

*Jan. 3: A male juvenile was charged with carrying a concealed weapon about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Larch and New Hampshire avenues.

Wheaton-Glenmont district

Armed robbery

*Dec. 19: Three teens, one armed with a knife, took property from a man 6 p.m. in the 2500 block of Ennalls Avenue. The teens were black; no further description was provided.

Strong-arm robbery

*Dec. 23: Three teens beat and robbed a man about 12:15 a.m. at Pear Tree Court and Connecticut Avenue. Witnesses said the teens ran into the adjacent apartment complex. The teens were black; no further description was provided.

*Dec. 18: Two men knocked a victim unconscious and took property 7:35 p.m. at Andrew and Edwin streets. The men were black; no further description was provided.
