Motorcyclist killed in crash

A Laytonsville man was killed when a motorcycle collided with a car in Ashton Sunday afternoon.

Daniel Lee Aaron, 45, of the 21300 block of Laytonsville Road, was traveling southbound on Astoria Lane near Tucker Lane at approximately 4 p.m. when the motorcycle crossed the center line and collided with a 2005 Lincoln Town Car that was traveling northbound on Astoria Lane, county police said.

Aaron was ejected from the 2005 Harley Davidson and transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the Town Car, Francis Edward Kemp, 82, of the 17500 block of Shenandoah Court in Ashton, was not injured and remained at the scene, police said.

Aaron was wearing a helmet, police said. Detectives are continuing to investigate the collision. No charges had been filed as of early this week.
