Police report

The following is a summary of incidents to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

Rockville District

Armed carjacking

*On Dec. 19: At 9 a.m. at Coral’s Gas Station, 30 Southlawn Court in Rockville. The victim was a DHL delivery driver who got out of the DHL truck to pump gas. The suspect displayed a handgun and took the vehicle. The vehicle was abandoned at Avery Road and Norbeck Road. The suspect got into the passenger side of a U-Haul truck and fled. The suspect was described as a black male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 170 pounds, black ski mask, black jacket and pants. The suspect vehicle was a U-haul truck.

Graffiti

*Between Dec. 18 and 19 in the 9300 block of Bells Mill Road in Potomac. Possibly gang-related.

Indecent exposure

*On Dec. 18: Between 3 and 4 a.m. in the unit block of Arbor Forrest Court in Rockville. The suspect knocked on the adult female victim’s window and exposed himself. He was last seen walking into nearby woods. The suspect was described as a white male or Hispanic male, 25-35, black hooded sweatshirt, carrying a black bag.

Police impersonator

*On Dec. 21: At 5:06 p.m., the suspect was driving on Veirs Mill Road in Rockville when he exchanged words with another motorist. The suspect parked, left his vehicle and approached the motorist. The suspect was wearing a jacket and hat with law enforcement insignia. He had in his possession a police-type baton which he used to strike the motorist’s vehicle. The suspect was described as a white male, 45-55, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 300-400 pounds. The suspect vehicle was described as a black 2004 Ford Expedition.

Vehicle larceny

*Sigsby Road and Wyaconda Road at Schuykill Road in Silver Spring, between Dec. 19 and 20. A witness observed a suspect walking away down Sigsbee. One vehicle reportedly had its window shattered. Method of entry into the other vehicle is unknown. The suspect was described as male, race unknown, black knit hat, brown jacket.

Residential garageburglary

*9100 block of Paytley Bridge Lane and the 9200 block of Cambridge Manor Court in Potomac, at approximately 2 a.m. on Dec. 19. A police surveillance team observed a suspect disappear near a victim’s garage and then drive off a few minutes later. A short time later the suspect was observed committing another burglary and was arrested. Stolen property was recovered.

Commercial burglary

*Barber shop at 619 Hungerford Drive in Rockville on Dec. 20. A citizen notified the police after observing the shop’s window had been shattered. No further details available.

Gaithersburg District

Indecent exposure

*On Dec. 21: At 9 p.m. in the bathroom of the Barnes & Noble Book Store, 21 Grand Corner Ave. in Gaithersburg. The suspect was described as a male wearing a red windbreaker and red sweatpants.
