Winston Nathaniel Lark, 85, of Towson, formerly of Rockville, died Jan. 6.

Born Dec. 28, 1922, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Edwin and Mamie Pratt Lark.

He was the husband of Carrie Brown Lark.

Mr. Lark served in the U.S. Army and worked for the U.S. Postal Service and the National Geographic Society.

Survivors in addition to his wife include five children, Winston Lark Jr. and wife, Edith of Seat Pleasant; Ronald Lark and wife, Mary of Temple Hills; Philip Lark and wife, Patricia of Columbia; Towana Smith and husband, Howard of Williamsburg, Va.; and Anissa Marin and husband, Alberto of Germantown; one stepdaughter, Gretinia Brown of Rockville; one stepson, Corey Brown and wife, Tina of Clovis, N.M.; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held 6-8 p.m. Jan. 16 at Wylie Funeral Homes, P.A., 9200 Liberty Road, Randallstown.

Funeral services will be held on Jan. 17 at New Psalmist Baptist Church, 4501-1⁄2 Old Frederick Road, Baltimore. Burial will follow in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills.
