There are several other Democrats who may not be on the statewide ballot in 2010, but are considered on the rise politically.

•Prince George’s State’s Attorney Glenn F. Ivey is eyeing a run for county executive.

•He may be new to the state Senate, but C. Anthony Muse, a polished and well-spoken pastor of a Prince George’s County megachurch, is going to make a quick name for himself in Annapolis.

•Montgomery County Councilman Thomas E. Perez, who was deemed unqualified to run for attorney general this year, is expected to stay active in party politics and could lend a voice for the state’s growing Latino community.

•If he wins his race for county executive this fall, Howard County Councilman Ken Ulman’s statewide profile would be on the rise.

•Because they face little or no GOP opposition in the general election, there are several new General Assembly members to watch — Jamie Raskin, Heather Mizeur and Tom Hucker in Montgomery County’s District 20 and Jocelyn Pena-Melynk and Ben Barnes in District 21.
