U.S. Representative is a federal office. District 5 includes Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's counties, as well as parts of Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties.

Candidates include Democrat Steny H. Hoyer, Republican Tony O'Donnell, Green Party member Bob Auerbach and Libertarian Arvin Vohra.
