| Rank | Team | |
| DeMatha (3-0): The Stags didn't need star running back Marcus Coker much as he only had 12 carries in a victory over Friendship Edison. DeMatha starts Washington Catholic Athletic Conference play at Paul VI (Va.) at 7 p.m. on Friday.
| Henry A. Wise (3-0): Revenge will be a key factor when the Pumas visit Eleanor Roosevelt at 3 p.m. Friday. Wise defeated the Raiders in the 4A South Region semifinals last season, while Roosevelt was the last team to defeat the Pumas in the regular season.
| Eleanor Roosevelt (3-0): The Raiders' defense hasn't allowed a point this season as it shut out High Point, 57-0, last week. This week will be much more difficult as Roosevelt takes on Wise in a battle for County 4A League supremacy.
| Frederick Douglass (3-0): Quarterback Richard Barber rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns as the Eagles shut out non-conference opponent Paul VI (Va.), 40-0. Douglass will look for its third straight shutout as it faces Surrattsville at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
| Bishop McNamara (3-0): James Joseph is arguably the best quarterback in Prince George's County with 614 yards and seven touchdowns. He will lead the Mustangs against Gonzaga (D.C.) at 2 p.m. on Saturday to begin Washington Catholic Athletic Conference play.
| Charles H. Flowers (3-0): The running back trio of Reggie Woods, Jonathan Clark and Raymond Wilson has helped the Jaguars get off to a perfect start. After three lopsided wins, things get a bit tougher this week as they host DuVal at 4 p.m. Friday.
| Suitland (2-1): The Rams shut out Northwestern and look to keep rolling along as they host High Point at 3 p.m. on Friday. Suitland likely will be 4-1 when it gets its next test in the County 4A League against Charles H. Flowers on Oct. 10.
| Gwynn Park (3-0): Khalek Shepherd continues to be among the best running backs in Prince George's County. He ran over Surattsville for 120 yards and four touchdowns. He could have another big week as the Yellow Jackets host Fairmont Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
| Laurel (2-1): The Spartans' turnaround continued last Friday as Laurel came from behind to beat Oxon Hill, 21-20. Laurel looks to remain in the top half of the County 4A League with a victory over winless Bladensburg at 3 p.m. on Friday.
| Friendly (2-1): The Patriots have rebounded from their season-opening loss with two victories in the County 3A/2A/1A League. They look to make it 3-0 in the league as they host Potomac at 4 p.m. on Friday. A victory keeps Friendly on pace with Frederick Douglass and Gwynn Park.
