| Rank | Team | |
| DeMatha Stags (10-0): The Stags are apparently healthy heading into the first round of the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference playoffs. They host Gonzaga (D.C.) on Friday with senior Marcus Coker back in the lineup. The University of Iowa recruit missed the previous two games with a groin injury before returning to scored the winning touchdown in DeMatha's 10-7 win against McNamara on Saturday.
| Suitland Rams (9-1): The Rams picked up their ninth consecutive victory with a 25-6 win against Eleanor Roosevelt, giving them a nice tune-up before beginning the 4A South Region playoffs at Charles H. Flowers on Saturday. Quarterback Devonte' Lindsey and wide receivers Lavern Jacobs and Jason Johnson could have big games against a Flowers' secondary that has struggled at times this season.
| Charles H. Flowers (9-1): The Jaguars notched a huge victory last week when they defeated the previously undefeated Henry A. Wise Pumas, 14-12. The victory gave the Jaguars the No. 2 seed in the 4A South Region and a home game against Suitland. Flowers is finally healthy in the backfield with John Clark, Reggie Woods and Raymone Wilson splitting time. Woods and Wilson both have missed time with injuries, but Woods had the tying touchdown and Wilson the winning two-point conversion against Wise.
| Henry A. Wise Pumas (9-1): The Pumas tasted defeat for the first time this year against Charles H. Flowers, and coach DaLawn Parrish said that could be a good thing. Wise will test that theory on Saturday in the 4A South Region playoffs with a home game against Eleanor Roosevelt. The two teams met earlier this year with the Pumas pulling out a 6-0 victory.
| Gwynn Park Yellow Jackets (10-0): The Yellow Jackets spent their bye week getting healthy and watching lots of tape of upcoming opponent McDonough. Gwynn Park enters the game with a two-headed monster on offense. Running back Khalek Shepherd leads Prince George's County with 20 touchdowns, while quarterback Marc Lucas has thrown for 1,087 yards and 14 touchdowns.
| Bishop McNamara Mustangs (8-2): The Mustangs came close to forcing a three-way tie for the top spot on the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference standings. They pushed DeMatha all the way into the fourth quarter before falling, 10-7. Now McNamara turns its attention to the playoffs and a rematch with Good Counsel on Friday night. The Falcons beat the Mustangs, 21-7, earlier this season.
| Frederick Douglass Eagles (8-2): Any questions about quarterback Richard Barber's health should have been answered the past two weeks. The senior has led the Eagles back into the playoffs, while closing the regular season on a two-game winning streak. Douglass now turns its attention to a road game against Glenelg in the 2A South Region semifinals on Friday night.
| Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders (6-4): When was the last time Roosevelt was under the radar coming into the 4A South Region semifinals? Well, that's the case this season, as the Raiders have lost three of their past four games, including a 25-6 loss to Suitland to end the season. Now Roosevelt gets a shot at Henry A. Wise, which knocked the Raiders out of the playoffs last year after a 10-0 regular season.
| Potomac Wolverines (6-4): Running back Ronald Darby has been nothing short of amazing during the final few games of the season, including his 155-yard performance in the season finale against Surrattsville. The sophomore will need another performance like that as Potomac gets ready for the 3A South Region semifinals. The Wolverines travel to Westlake to face the defending 3A state champions.
| Forestville Knights (5-4): The Knights looked like they might miss the 1A South Region playoffs after their unexpected defeat at the hands of Fairmont Heights. But a convincing victory against Largo in the final week of the season clinched the No. 3 seed in the region for Forestville. Now the Knights travel to Baltimore to face Dunbar on Saturday.
