The sixth annual Kites Over Clarksburg is looking for student volunteers to help from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 29 at Ovid Hazen Wells Park.

Volunteers are needed to set up, clean, help children with crafts and kites, collect canned goods for local food banks, pack up supplies and assist with additional tasks.

The deadline for student volunteers to pre-register for student service learning hours is March 25.

The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, and attendees will be able to toast marshmallows, complete art projects and games, and fly kites. Those who bring a canned food item, used eyeglasses or hearing aids to donate to local charities will receive a raffle ticket to win prizes.

The park is on Skylark Road in Clarksburg. For more information email Kathie Hulley at clarksburgkites@gmail.com.
