Montgomery Blair High School's class of 1999 will be graduating at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Showplace Arena at the Prince George's Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro.

Daniel Zwerdling -- the host of National Public Radio's "Weekend Edition," and himself a graduate of Blair -- will deliver this year's commencement address. Zwerdling is also the uncle of Blair alumna Celia Zwerdling, a college freshman who died in a tragic car accident in Michigan this year.

Blair's graduating class of about 580 is the largest of any county high school.

The county abolished the practice of naming valedictorians four years ago. Senior class officers will represent the students in the speechmaking portion of the program.

To get to the Equestrian Center take Exit 11 off the Capital Beltway east onto Pennsylvania Avenue. The center will be on the right.
