The following was received from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office:
Bus damage,safety equipment stolen
At about 9 a.m., June 13, employees of the Goddard School, in the 2000 block of Liberty Road, discovered damage to the rear red and amber lighting equipment on one of their school buses, which had been parked overnight on the school's lot.
Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the crime and discovered that a fire extinguisher and road flares, about $150 in value, had been stolen from the bus.
The Sheriff’s Office will continue its investigation.

Stolen car recovered, returned to owner
At 6:47 a.m., June 9, employees of Shamer's Auto Parts located in the 2900 block of Patapsco Road discovered an abandoned vehicle on their property and called police.
Responding to investigate, Sheriff's Deputies learned the vehicle had been reported stolen the day before.
At about 5:50 p.m., June 8, deputies responded to a reported vehicle tampering in the parking lot of the YMCA, 1719 Sykesville Road.
As the vehicle owner was on the phone with police dispatchers reporting the incident, the vandals allegedly returned, and fled in the vehicle. Returning to await the deputy's arrival, the owner discovered his vehicle missing.
Investigators processed the vehicle for forensic evidence, and returned the 1995 Buick Century to its owner.
