Silver Spring company gets $7B federal contract -- Gazette.Net


Social & Scientific Systems Inc. of Silver Spring, a public health research company, has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

The company said in a press release that it is a five-year, $7 billion “indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity” contract.

The work will include “the design, conduct, and evaluation of demonstrations that could have a beneficial effect on health care access, cost, and quality...,” the press release said. “The research will be aimed at reducing costs in federal health care programs.”

Social & Scientific Systems also has offices in Durham, N.C.; Jakarta, Indonesia; Kigali, Rwanda; and Kampala, Uganda.
