Children and adults had a “blast” Saturday at the College Park Aviation Museum’s Rocket Making Workshop, according to event organizer Chelsea Dorman.
Despite forecasts of rain, the weather held out for the rocket launchers, Dorman said.
“We got lucky; it was a bit overcast, but everything went well for the rocket launch,” Dorman said.
Participants learned how to build and launch their own rockets by filling the bottles with water and then using an air pump to create pressure to launch.
Dorman said 13 children and 20 adults took part in the event.
