Luke Weichel of Brookeville, who plays baseball for Olney Boys and Girls Community Sports Association, will compete in the regional Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run competition at Camden Yards on Saturday.

After winning a sectional championship for his age group in Laurel, Md., Luke, 9, was notified that he placed in the top 3 in the region, making him eligible to compete in Baltimore.

The winner will advance to a national competition held along with the Major League Baseball all-star game in July.
