Prince George’s County police have identified the victim of an Oxon Hill shooting that took place early Wednesday.

Samuel Cheadle, 20, of the 1000 block of 14th Street in SE Washington D.C., was discovered with gunshot wounds at about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 4900 block of Maury Place after police officers heard and responded to shots, said Police Ofc. Nicole Hubbard, Prince George’s County police spokeswoman. Cheadle was pronounced dead on the scene, she said.

Detectives are still working to identify suspects and motive in the case, Hubbard said.
