Enjoy a rare opportunity to tour Brookeville’s private homes and historic sites from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The walking tour begins at the Brookeville Academy, 5 High St. It includes the award-winning “Madison House,” where President Madison retreated on Aug. 26, 1814, as the British burned the White House during the War of 1812.
The cost is $30 per person. Lunch will be sold.
Free parking will be available at Salem United Methodist Church, 12 High St.
