Bethesda-based EagleBank hired Steven A. Reeder, Christopher J. Ewing and Mark S. Merrill as executives. All three previously were executives at Virginia Commerce Bank, which recently was purchased by United Bankshares.
Reeder was appointed executive vice president and chief deposit officer, while Ewing was named executive vice president and deputy chief operating officer. Merrill was appointed executive vice president of finance.
Damascus Community Bank promoted Joseph Greenville to vice president of lending. He has some 20 years of banking experience with Damascus Community Bank as a manager and a lending officer and worked for other banks.
Robert McCarthy, who is retiring as COO of Bethesda-based Marriott International on Friday, was named to the board of HandHeld Hospitality. The Chevy Chase company employs mobile technology such as apps for hotels.
Rockville-based Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group named Pim Suwannarat chief of the department of genetics. The department provides genetic consultation for Kaiser Permanente members in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Suwannarat previously was part of the genetics department at the San Francisco Kaiser Permanente Medical Center.
Bethesda-based Edge Commercial Real Estate appointed Justin Talesnick as an associate in the Tysons Corner office. He previously worked with Gittleson Zuppas Medical Realty in Bethesda and Bethesda defense giant Lockheed Martin.
Jonathan Powell, senior program manager at CACI, was appointed an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is on the boards of the Montgomery County Revenue Authority and the Bethesda Lacrosse Association.
