Thirteenth-century Mali will come to life when actors and audience members tell the story of Sunjata Keita, a young boy who is destined to save his people in “Sunjata Kamalenya,” showing at noon Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday at the Publick Playhouse in Cheverly. Traditional music, costumes and scenery combine to create a the timeless tale of love, community and triumph over adversity.
