The following is a summary of incidents in the Rockville area to which Montgomery County and/or Rockville city police responded recently. The words “arrested” and “charged” do not imply guilt. This information was provided by the county and Rockville city police media services office.

Armed Robbery

• On Jan. 27 at 9:30 p.m. in the 7900 block of Tuckerman Lane, Rockville. The subject threatened the victim with a weapon and took property.

• On Jan. 30 at 10 p.m. in the 300 block of Edmonston Road, Rockville. The subject threatened the victim with a weapon and took property.

Sexual Offense

• On Feb. 2 at 10 p.m. at Clyde’s, 2 Preserve Parkway, Rockville. The subject is known to the victim.

Strong-Arm Robbery

• On Jan. 28 at 4:20 p.m. at Elmcroft Boulevard and Marsh Hollow Place, Rockville. The subjects assaulted the victim and took property.

• On Feb. 7 between 2:30 and 2:36 p.m. in the 10900 block of Bells Ridge Drive, Rockville. The subjects assaulted the victims and took property.

Aggravated Assault

• On Feb. 1 at 12:22 p.m. in the 7800 block of White Cliff Terrace, Rockville. The subject is known to the victim.

Commercial Burglary

• On Jan. 30 at 1:28 a.m. at Subway, 1020 Rockville Pike, Rockville. Forced entry, took property.


• 1600 block of Rockville Pike, Rockville, between 1 and 2 p.m. Jan. 29. Unknown subject entered the business and removed several items and placed them in her purse. The subject then left the store without paying for items.

• 1300 block of Piccard Drive, Rockville, between 11:30 p.m. Feb. 5 and 7:15 a.m. Feb. 6. Unknown subject removed a backpack, a passport, computer tablet, a cellphone charger, and a pair of gloves and earmuffs from a locked hotel room.

Residential Burglary

• 11800 block of Milbern Drive, Rockville, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Jan. 27. Forced entry, took property.

• 1000 block of Grandin Avenue, Rockville, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 3. Unknown subject broke a rear bedroom window and took a key.

• 400 block of Baltimore Road, Rockville, between 10:25 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Feb. 4. Unknown subject forced open a front door and took a computer tablet and jewelry.


• Between Feb. 4 and 6 at a house under construction in the 15200 block of Avery Road, Derwood. Took property from the outside.

Vehicle Larceny

• 14000 block of Cove Lane, Rockville, between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 2 and 4:20 p.m. Feb. 3. Unknown subject removed a radio.

• Unit block of Elmcroft Court, Rockville, between 7 p.m. Feb. 8 and 11 a.m. Feb. 9. Unknown subject removed a wallet, a briefcase, a laptop and a jacket.

• 500 block of Casey Lane, Rockville, between 6 p.m. Feb. 8 and 6:15 a.m. Feb. 10. Unknown subject had removed a knife, a tool kit, loose change, and several CDs.

• 400 block of North Washington Street, Rockville, between 2:40 and 4:23 p.m. Feb. 11. Unknown subject removed a laptop and an iPod.

• Unit block of Research Court, Rockville, between 7:30 p.m. Feb. 12 and 6 a.m. Feb. 13. Unknown subject removed a backpack containing clothing.
