Miss America 2014, Nina Davuluri, visited Montgomery College in Germantown Feb. 25 to talk about science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. Montgomery College spokesman Marcus S. Rosano said between 400 and 500 people attended the event.

Davuluri, from New York, talked about her interests in STEM fields and the stigma of being female in a heavily male-dominated area. Rosano said she feels obligated to break down the stereotypes associated with that as part of her work as Miss America.
