A pet trainer is offering a workshop to teach owners of fearful dogs about anxiety disorders in dogs, particularly those that have been rescued from abusive environments.

Jeni Grant of Train Your Best Friend is scheduled to present “Overcoming your dog’s anxiety outside and inside the home — help for rescued puppy mill, hoarding case and other anxious dogs” Sunday in Bethesda.

The workshop runs from 1 to 3 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, at 6030 Grosvenor Lane. It is free and open to the public and is hosted by the Rockville nonprofit Your Dog’s Friend. Registration is required at yourdogsfriend.org/free-workshops.
