Two drivers are dead in a fatal collision at the intersection of Quince Orchard Boulevard and Quince Orchard Road Sunday night.

Bok Sun Kim, 67, of the 400 block of West Side Drive in Gaithersburg, and Jared Lee Fondren, 41, of the 600 block of E. Main Street in American Fork, Utah, both died as the result of a crash that happened about 7 p.m., according to police. Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt, police said.

Preliminary investigation indicates Sun Kim was driving her Acura on Quince Orchard Boulevard, turning left to eastbound Quince Orchard Road on a green traffic light, when police said Fondren drove his 1999 Dodge Durango west on Quince Orchard Road through a red traffic light and struck Sun Kim’s car.

Sun Kim was ejected from her car and pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from police. Fondren was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
