Augusto Sergio Landeo, age 36, of Gaithersburg, passed away on Monday, December 2 in Baltimore, MD succumbing to complications of an extended illness. He was the beloved son of Elizabeth Duley. He is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Gigi and Victor Obando, David and Leslie Landeo, and Carely Casas, stepfather Sidney Duley, stepchildren Deanna and Alex Sanchez, nephews Christopher Obando, Gavin and Sebastian Landeo, niece Nicole Obando, and grandmother, Isabel Manzanares.

Sergio and his brother started their own business shortly after moving to Maryland from Caracas, Venezuela. Their company provided commercial and residential floor installation services, as well as retail of flooring material in the metropolitan area. From beautiful personalized mosaic designs to sleek and contemporary work, many homes and businesses in our neighborhoods continue to enjoy Sergio s impeccable craftsmanship.

He was very skilled at making intricate pencil drawings and designs. During his spare time, he loved reading crime thrillers, listening to rock music, watching basketball, and above all, enjoying his life in the company of his loved ones.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Seblu Zera-Yohannes MD, for his kindness and care throughout the years, to the 6th Floor nurses and staff of UMMC Midtown; chance made you his caregivers, God made you his angels. We also offer our appreciation to Aura Quintero and Zulay Cancelado for their love and attention. Thank you all for your compassion and dedication during Sergio s final years.

Sergio's remains will rest at All Souls Cemetery in Germantown, MD Sergio built a beautiful life. He was caring son, a kind brother, a loving husband and father, a responsible businessman, a helpful friend. His body may be gone, but Sergio has won eternal glory. He is pain free, rejoicing in the arms of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
