Steve Murfin of Olney, baseball coach at James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, coached the Baltimore Orioles Legends team to the title of the 2013 Roy Hobbs World Series in Fort Myers, Fla., last month.

The team comprised players 55 and older from throughout Maryland. Montgomery County players included Dave and Bill Kelly of Rockville, along with Murfin. The championship game was a thriller, with the Orioles winning 4-3 in the bottom of the 11th inning.
