Through corporate sponsorships, individual donations, a silent auction and ticket sales, the eighth annual Re/Max Realty Centre Charity Gala on Nov. 7 at the Inn at Brookeville Farms raised more than $26,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network.

The nonprofit partners with the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., so funds that are raised stay in the region.

“Children’s Hospital in D.C. is close to the hearts of many of our clients, staff, agents, and customers, who have had loved ones treated there,” said Joe Buffington, owner and general manager of Re/Max Realty Centre.

Buffington said many agents participate in the Miracle Home program, which designates a portion of every home sale to be donated directly to the Children’s Miracle Network.

“Our goal this year is to raise more than $35,000 from the charity gala plus Miracle Home donations for the Children’s Miracle Network,” he said.
