Boys’ Runner of the Year



Joshua Wilkins

In his final season, Wilkins finished first in the county (16:02), first in the 4A South (16:03) and seventh in the state (16:16)

Sophomore

The Clippers’ standout sophomore burst onto the scene this season and finished second in the 4A South region (17:15)



Justin Bentham

Charles H. Flowers

Senior

A rock atop the Jaguars’ lineup, Bentham placed fourth in the county (17:22) and took ninth in the region (18:07)



Donnell Davis

Bowie

Senior

Formed a remarkable one-two punch with Wilkins atop Bowie’s team. Finished third in both the county (17:16) and 4A South meets (17:23)



Joseph Graham

DeMatha

Junior

The Stags’ top runner, Graham enjoyed numerous top-20 finishes, including fifth at the Landon Invitational (17:32)



Terrell Green

Frederick Douglass

Senior

Energetic senior took second at the county meet (16:49) at Fort Washington National Park and 23rd in the state



Caleb McCammon

Laurel

Sophomore

Spartans’ model of consistency all year, McCammon finished sixth (17:49) in the county and fifth in the region (17:35)



Boys’ Coach of the Year

Rich Andrulonis, Bowie, 31st season: Lovingly known as “Coach A,” the running lifer led his Bulldogs to a three-peat of both the county and 4A South championships

Girls’ Runner of the Year

Topped the county (20:51) at Fort Washington National Park and won the region with an impressive time of 20:57

Couldn’t have asked for a better inaugural season. Finished sixth in the county (21:51) and eighth at regionals

Along with Matthews, fueled the Jaguars all season. Took second in the county (21:00) and the region (20:58) and 65th at states

Recorded her top time in big meet at regionals (21:52), which helped the Raiders to the 4A South team title

Largo’s leader turned in another great season, highlighted by a fifth-place finish in the county (21:46)

Burst onto the scene to record a fourth-place finish in the county meet (21:42) and jumped to third in the 4A South region race

The Falcons’ top runner, Stokes finished third in the county (21:22), first in the 1A North region and 21st in the 1A state meet



Girls’ Coach of the Year

Andrew Zanghi, Eleanor Roosevelt: After falling short of beating Bowie for a majority of the season, the Raiders finished strong by besting the Bulldogs in the 4A South region and state meets
