As high school football teams enter the final week of the regular season, only two of the 22 public schools in Prince George’s County are still trying to clinch playoff berths. Seven — Suitland, DuVal, Charles H. Flowers, Gwynn Park, Frederick Douglass, Surrattsville and Forestville — have clinched postseason games. Here’s a breakdown on the playoff scenarios entering the final week of the regular season:

4A South Region

Suitland has clinched the No. 1 seed and DuVal has clinched the No. 2 seed. Flowers has clinched a playoff berth.

If Wise defeats Flowers, Wise would earn the No. 3 seed and Flowers the No. 4 seed.

If Flowers beats Wise, Flowers would get the No. 3 seed.

If Bladensburg defeats Bowie, Wise would clinch a playoff berth.

If Bowie beats Bladensburg and Flowers defeats Wise, Bowie would land the No. 4 seed only if at least two of four games go as listed: Eleanor Roosevelt over Northwestern, Surrattsville over Frederick Douglass, Parkdale over Oxon Hill, Suitland over High Point. Otherwise, Wise would claim the No. 4 seed.

2A South Region

Patuxent has clinched the No. 1 and Gwynn Park has clinched the No. 2 seeds.

Douglass and Hammond have also clinched playoff berths.

If Douglass defeats Surrattsville or Centennial beats Hammond, Douglass would receive the No. 3 seed.

If Surrattsville beats Douglass and Hammond defeats Centennial, Douglass would receive the No. 4 seed.

1A North Region

Surrattsville has clinched the No. 1 seed.

Forestville has clinched a playoff berth and will receive the No. 2, No. 3 or No. 4 seed. Forestville can finish ahead of Sparrows Point and/or FAET, the other two teams in the region that have clinched playoff berths.

If Forestville beats Potomac and Overlea beats Sparrows Point, Forestville would finish ahead of Sparrows Point.

If Forestville beats Potomac and Sparrows Point beats Overlea, Forestville would finish ahead of Sparrows Point only if at least one of four games goes as listed: Friendly over Gwynn Park, Manchester Valley over North Carroll, Hereford over Eastern Tech, Dulaney over Towson.

If Potomac beats Forestville and Overlea beats Sparrows Point, Forestville would finish ahead of Sparrows Point only if at least two of four games goes as listed: Friendly over Gwynn Park, Manchester Valley over North Carroll, Hereford over Eastern Tech, Dulaney over Towson.

If Forestville beats Potomac or Bluford Drew Jemison beats Friendship Academy of Engineering and Technology, Forestville would finish ahead of FAET.

If Potomac defeats Forestville and FAET beats Bluford Drew Jemison, Forestville would finish ahead of FAET only if at least four of five games go as listed: Friendly over Gwynn Park, Manchester Valley over North Carroll, Lewis over Lake Clifton, Dunbar-Baltimore over Southwestern-Baltimore, Patterson over Maritime Academy.
