A woman is being evaluated at a local hospital after driving her car into the front of a small Bethesda storefront.

According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Beth Anne Nesselt, an elderly woman was parked in front of the store and then drove her car through the front of the Water and More Store on the 4900 block of Bethesda Avenue.

The crash took place at about 11:30 a.m.

Firefighters inspected the store, which is on a block filled with other single-story commercial properties, and ruled that it is still structurally sound, Nesselt said.
