Ernest Bland Associates, an architectural firm in Silver Spring, celebrated its 25th anniversary Oct. 9 at the Fillmore Silver Spring.

Among the 300-plus people attending were Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett (D); County Council President Nancy Navarro (D-Dist. 4) of Silver Spring; County Council members Valerie Ervin (D-Dist. 5) of Silver Spring, Philip M. Andrews (D-Dist. 3) of Gaithersburg, and Marc Elrich and George L. Leventhal, both (D-At large) of Takoma Park; Del. Shelia E. Hixson (D-Dist. 20) of Silver Spring; state Sen. Jamie B. Raskin (D-Dist. 20) of Takoma Park; and Rep. John Sarbanes (D-Dist. 3) of Towson.

The celebration was a way to thank the community, according to company owner and President Ernest Bland.
