Adelphi’s University of Maryland University College will be the recipient of The Sloan Consortium’s, or Sloan C, Outstanding Online Program award at its 19th annual convention, to be held in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. on Nov. 21, according to a news release.

The award, one of 10 being given out to individuals, colleges and universities across the county, is in recognition of UMUC’s Master of Science in Biotechnology online program, according to the release.

“The Sloan-C Awards recognize the tremendous advances in online learning that result from the ideas and initiatives of individuals and colleges and universities globally,” Meg Benke, president of Sloan-C’s board of directors, said in the release.

Full details on the awards can be found online at sloanconsortium.org/sloan-c-awards/2013.
