Residents can dispose of expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs during Drug Take Back Day on Oct. 26.

People can bring unused medications for disposal to one of 11 sites in Montgomery County between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with no questions asked. Experts say such collections are often the safest way to dispose of drugs.

Gaithersburg’s drop-off locations include the police station, 14 Fulks Corner Ave., and the county’s 6th District police station, 45 W. Watkins Mill Road.
