In Herndon, Va., NextStop Theatre Company will present its 2013-14 season premiere production, “Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps,” this weekend, with a preview performance tonight followed by the show’s official opening Saturday at the Industrial Strength Theatre.
The Tony Award-winning adventure comedy, directed by NextStop artistic director Evan Hoffmann, is a hysterical hybrid of Hitch’s famed spy thriller, with more than a dash of slapstick. Heightening the madcap suspense? A cast of four brings to life a roster of more than 140 roles.
