Fifty middle-school students got the chance to see how math and science can be applied to do fun and interesting things with the ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp at Bowie State University.

On Friday, the camp’s Space Day, campers learned from Bernard Harris, the first African-American to walk in space, and competed to make durable spacesuit swatches out of household materials.
