Italian entertainment company Cirque Italia and its Aquatic Spectacular Show kicks off this weekend at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg. Launching today, the fun continues weekends to June 23 at the fairgrounds, before heading to the Prince William Co. Fairgrounds in Manassas, Va., from June 28 to July 7.
Talented performers from across the globe will perform above the troupe’s custom-made water stage, which holds 35,000 gallons of water and tours from city to city. From aerial acts to hand balancing, high wire to contortion, the European-style circus combines art, drama and quirkiness in a production that has been hailed “Broadway meets Bellagio.” For more information, visit www.cirqueitalia.com.
