Elenor Workman DeVost, 89, of Olney, died April 19, 2013.

Born on July 15, 1923, in Washington, D.C., to Joseph Leroy Workman and Marguerite Arnold Workman, she is survived by her husband, Valmore DeVost.

She attended St. Anthony’s grade school and high school, graduating in 1941. She went to work for the federal government at the Government Printing Office where she worked in personnel. She graduated from Dunbarton College with a B.A. degree in English in 1951.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Elizabeth Wilson, Mark DeVost, Karen Rollings, Sherry Rodis and Joe DeVost; and ten grandchildren.

The funeral is scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. April 24 at Saint Peter’s in Olney. Collins Funeral Home in Silver Spring handled the arrangements.
