Students at Laurel High School are preparing for their second annual Empty Bowls fund raiser, to benefit FISH of Laurel, a nonprofit food bank and kitchen for those in need.

The fundraiser dinner takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 26 at Laurel High School. Tickets are $15 per person, and all proceeds go to FISH of Laurel.

“Each individual will be given a bowl made by Laurel High students as a reminder to help ‘fill the empty bowls’ in our community,” said service learning coordinator Rebecca Adams.

Laurel High students will provide musical entertainment and presentations during the dinner, Adams said, adding that there will also be a silent auction of items donated by local businesses.

To RSVP, contact Adams at rebecca.adams@pgcps.org or call 301-497-2050.
