Bowie State’s teacher education program recertified -- Gazette.Net

The strength of Bowie State University’s education program was recertified by the national accreditation board. The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education recertified the school’s educational program for initial and advanced teacher preparation for 58 years, BSU said in a Feb. 22 statement.

“The College of Education is among a very few premiere institutions across the nation that were granted full accreditation with no areas for improvement cited,” said Traki Taylor-Webb, dean of BSU’s college of education in the statement. “The accreditation process reaffirms the college’s legacy of excellence in program quality.”
