A 4-year-old girl was taken to the hospital Saturday night after running into the street and striking the side of a van, said Montgomery County Police Capt. Paul Starks.

Police were called at 5:12 p.m. to the 11600 block of Summer Oak Drive for the incident, police said.

The girl was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Starks said.
