Dennis and Carol Key of Damascus announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Erin Key, to Bradley Thomas Madden, son of Warren and Nancy Madden, of Whitehall, Pa.

The bride-to-be, a 2002 graduate of Damascus High School, received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland. She is an account manager at a mortgage technology company in Lansdale, Pa.

The prospective groom, a 2001 graduate of Whitehall High School, received a bachelor’s degree in education from Kutztown University and a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from Wilkes University. He is a high school English teacher in Bangor, Pa.

A May 2013 wedding is planned in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
