The Historical Society of Frederick County will hold its 15th annual Treasured Heirloom Event — the region’s biggest and best antiques and collectibles evaluation — on March 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Delaplaine Center, 40 South Carroll St., Frederick.
The event will feature about a dozen experts who will be on hand to provide verbal estimations of the value and other information about various items. The experts’ specialties include folk art, fine art, jewelry, prints, photographs, toys, militaria, furniture, tools, quilts and other textiles, clocks, lamps and lighting, china, glassware, and other antiques and collectibles.
Tickets to have items evaluated are $10 for the first item, if bought in advance, or $15 at the door. Tickets for additional items are $5 each. Tickets are on sale now at the Museum of Frederick County History, 24 East Church St., Frederick. They also may be purchased by phone at 301-663-1188, extension 108.
Sponsorship opportunities and program advertising also are available. Proceeds raised from the event support the Historical Society’s educational public programs.
