Indian Queen Elementary School students were greeted by McDonalds restaurant chain mascot Ronald McDonald to encourage them to stay fit during a physical education class Friday.

The school’s first and second grade students spent 40-minutes with Ronald McDonald to “Go Fit!,” said Indian Queen principal Aundrea McCall.

She said part two of the program takes place in early March when kindergarten students learn how to enjoy books. She said that program is called “Book It!”
