A Metro worker is in the hospital after an accident in Bethesda this morning.
“A Metro worker and his vehicle ... were off the roadway on Rockville Pike,” said Metro spokeswoman Caroline Lukas. “... Another vehicle lost control and struck both the vehicle and the Metro employee.”
The man was outside of his vehicle and working at the time of the accident, Lukas said. He was transported to a local hospital with a possible broken leg, she said. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The accident took place at around 10:19 a.m. near the intersection with Grosvenor Lane. The driver was uninjured and stayed on the scene, Montgomery County Police Officer Janelle Smith said.
