Vanessa Shelton, 55, of Gaithersburg, died Feb. 20, 2013.

She was born Feb. 8, 1958, in Sandy Spring to the late Willie Shelton and Pauline Jackson.

She is survived by her siblings, Sarah, Stacy, Andrew, Lisa, Ada, Patsy and Willie Jr.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Feb. 28 at Agape African Methodist Episcopal Church, 7700 Brink Road, Gaithersburg. Snowden Funeral Home in Rockville handled the arrangements.
